Who has time for one more thing in their beauty business?

I get it… a Marketing Plan sounds overwhelming when all you want to do is just make money and service clients.

I didn't have a structured marketing plan in place for my business for years! I was just winging it and hustling to get new business in. I did nothing to leverage my existing clients or spend more than an hour working on the “Business Side” of things. Whether you operate your business solo or you have 5+ staff, your business needs a marketing plan.

WHY? The purpose of a marketing plan is to determine how you will sell or upsell your products or services to your customers. It is the difference of making an extra $5,000 or even $20,000 a year.

So where do you even start?

What do your clients want more of? If you don't know ASK them, send them a survey or just text or email them.
Develop relationships with followers that aren't clients yet.

It’s so important to plan because if you are strategic you can ensure that you are reaching the right people at the right time in the right way; which will lead to more sales.
Look at your performance from last year and use it to set goals for this year. You should strive to grow and increase sales each month and year.

You don’t have to spend a ton of money to market your business. That's the amazing part of a business coaching group, you can get 1 idea from someone that makes you $500 or $5,000.

Here are some ways you can market your salon business that will not break the bank:

  • Get your salon listed on various online directories.
People are looking for services online and you want your business to show up in
their search. Some popular ones are Google, Yelp, and Facebook
  • Show up on Social Media.
Make sure you have Facebook and Instagram accounts.
  • Text and Emails
Connecting with your clients through text and email builds relationships and it gives you an avenue to educate them on your products and services; as well as inform them about important info.
  • Have a functional website
A website can be a great marketing tool if you keep it updated and maintain it properly. You can add information about services, pictures of your work and client testimonials.
