Setting annual goals in your salon business may look very similar from year to year. But that doesn't mean the processes and strategies you use to reach those goals stay the same.
Goals for your salon may include increasing profits, retaining clients, retaining employees, adding new services…and the list goes on.
I don't want to take away from the importance of setting goals, setting goals that are well-thought out and are designed to move your business forward so you can grow and expand, is one of the most valuable things you can do each year as a salon owner.
But I want to encourage you to look beyond the goals and make sure you are creating processes and strategies that will be effective in helping you reach those goals.
For example, if you have a goal to retain clients and increase your re-booking rates, but you don't set up a strategy to build connections with your clients (like text marketing and building your email list) then the likelihood of reaching that goal is low. You may retain some clients but you will not achieve the goal at the level of success that you could if you implemented an effective strategy.
The goals are important but the real results come from effective processes and strategies.
So when you set goals for your salon business for 2022 really focus on actionable steps you can take to meet those goals. And once you identify processes and strategies to help you achieve your goals make a commitment to stick to them; and get your staff on board too!!
Hopefully you are already doing this and reading this is just confirmation that you are on the right path. But if you don't make the time to work on the strategies to really take action when it comes to meeting goals, I hope reading this will be a lightbulb moment and help you realize how important it really is.
